do you have a scar on your knee?

i do not think i could love anyone
who does not have scars on their knees
from years and years

of tree-climbing
and bike-riding
and dog-walking
and swimming in creeks

and tripping down long flights of stairs.

because if you have no scars on your knees

then you have not
lived at all.

annie gave me this poem today.

  2. HAHAHAH!!! Yea what about the wart scars?! Do WE get a poem?? NOOOOOO, of course not.

Here's a funny conversation from when I was first getting to know you, Kyrie.

Linnea: (looking at my legs) "Gosh, I have so many bites on my legs, but I can't scratch them!!"

    Kyrie: "Why not?"

Linnea: "Because they will become scabs!"

Kyrie: "Oh, I like having scabs and bruises and all that, it shows I'm out there doin' stuff and not being a loser."

    Linnea: ---silence---

  3. Kyrie, sounds like I need to get to know you better when I return to the States! I'm a scar lover too, and enjoy the bruises, scabs and anything else cool like that.

  5. I like scars and bruises too!! They are like badges of greatness. Or at least that you led an adventurous life.
