Pity Sing is an old woman's cat in the Flannery O'Connor story "A Good Man is Hard to Find." It tickled me so when I first read it years ago at Covenant, I've never forgotten it. Recently I noticed in Paste magazine that a Texas band has taken that name. By the way, aren't all the little icons on this comment thread a pity sing?
