posie lewis.
front and center! (and up) played molly and did a marvelous job of it! i love hearing her booming voice above all the rest..even when she's the smallest on stage.

posie's the one standing tall with her hand thrust into the air. no doubt singing her heart out.

these photos were taken to show our matching shirts..but they are not very visable. just know they are matching, people!

:::waiting in line:::

just realized that me and sarah's hair is almost the same color. and i think of her as a blond. does that mean i'm a blond??

This was Lowen and Pax, Sunday afternoon, looking desperately for a pool to swim in.
They never found one.

If you've ever wondered why winnie-the-pooh is named winnie-the-pooh

"If you happen to have read another book about Christopher Robin, you may remember that he once had a swan (or the swan had Christopher Robin, i don't know which) and that he used to call this swan Pooh. That was a long time ago, and when we said good-bye, we took the name with us, as we didn't think the swan would want it any more. Well, when Edward Bear said that he would like an exciting name all to himself, Christopher Robin said at once, without stopping to think, that he was Winnie-the-Pooh. And he was. So, as i have explained the Pooh part, i will now explain the rest of it. "
-A.A. Milne
the introduction of Winnie-the-Pooh

...now he goes on to explain the Winnie part which, i think, is alot more understandable since i've heard the name Winnie before. Winnie, it explains, came from a bear at the Zoo that was Christopher Robin's favorite animal to visit...

but all this and still im confused. where did the "the" come from?

then i flipped the page:

When i first heard his name, I said, just as you are going to say, "But i thought he was a boy?"
"So i did, " said Christopher Robin
"Then you can't call him Winnie?"
"I don't"
"But you said---"
"He's Winnie-ther-Pooh. Don't you know what 'ther' means?"
"Ah, yes, now I do, " I said quickly; and i hope you do too, because it's all the explation you are going to get.

-beginning of chapter one
from Winnie-the-Pooh

and still not too much clarity.
i like it that way. adds to the charm:)

stars go blue (so do walls, jeans, tshirts, crocs and cups of ice)

love this photo.
joanna actually smiled!
and looks small (but that is normal)
(the ice in that cup is so wonderful for crunching!)
to any who do not know: 'stars go blue' is a song by one my favorite singers, Ryan Adams.

losing color

"A memory, even a happy a one , can never replace reality; it's never as moving, as thrilling, or as true. All memories, even the strongest and most cherished, inevitably end by losing their color and clarity"

-Celine Dion

(lowen, sienna and i were talking about this subject the other night. this quote pretty much sums up our converstaion. interesting to think about how our reality is constantly becoming our past. we can't slow it down. and everytime it becomes our past it instantly fades a bit because reality is so much more...real. this whole subject could be sad but to me, its kinda fascinating)

bits of The Quiet Time...

from Ezekiel 34...

nations and countries...

The animals keep me company...the distant playmates.

Grendle’s such a snob. She won’t even look at me no matter how sweet I call. Matter of fact, the sweeter I call, the more she snubs me. I think the flash was a little to much for timid Jember.

Wednesday’s AM. My quiet time begins. Sitting in a sturdy chair atop the shockingly green grass. A snobby cat and a bored pup. Cub of black coffee in my hand. Humidity free air. My eyes constantly distracted by my entertaining animals. So many thoughts.

It was a pretty morning.

Welcome to the One and Only....

Tunnel of Trees!!!

WHAT THE HECK!?! They cut them down. They're gone. No more. Just one lousy strip of trees on the right. What goes on in someone's head when they dicide to cut down only the left side of a beauitful tunnel of trees? This is the question in my head today...

Sadness, I tell you. Pure sadness.

I'm going to miss that old tunnel.

Oh.. I must give credit to Linnea Ruth Shelton for the photography and wardrobe of the first 3 photos back in the day. She's somethin, ain't she?!
