pancake morning!

Kyria and Kyrie!

...walkin' back to school

there was a blue house on the way back...it was too good a photo opportunity to pass by!

Every Saturday morning Kyrie and I and a couple friends make the 20 minute trek to Professor Kaufmann's house for a FREE home-cooked breakfast...pancakes, bacon, hashbrowns, homemade syrup, and the BEST coffee in the world. The Kaufmann family does this every Saturday for Covenant students and even alumni. They provide the warmest environment and all the food you can eat. It's a pleasent way to start your weekend ...sleeping in is over rated! Going to the Kaufmann's isn't.

buried treasure.

I was cleaning on Saturday in one of your buildings and my team leader asked me if I had cleaned the "Writing Center" yet. I looked at him wondering what he was talking about and so he led me into this room that I was supposed to have been cleaning every Saturday since August but I had never been told about this room. I walked in though and immediatly saw these four prints and said something like "Oh my gosh! Why are these hidden back here?" These are four professors at Covenant and I don't know who did these pieces but I want so badly for them to be out in the open, not tucked in the back of some room. I called Kyrie right away and she came over to see them. She had heard about them but never found them. We both just stood in that room for awhile soaking up the coolness of art.

breakin' the rules for brae

yesterday on our way back from pancakes i wanted to take some photos at the soccer field on the huge concrete steps..but the whole place was fenced in! we had no choice but to climb over them!

brae's also asked people to take and post pictures of themselves jumping fences (because it can mean so much more than just climbing over a wired fence) so this post is for brae

SKH construction

this construction company has been working at covenant since August. Everytime I see this sign, walking to and from classes, I think in my mind "sienna kyrie howard, sienna kyrie howard..." I say that over in my mind (I'm a werido, I know). I've always wanted to get a picture of us in front of it so this morning on the way to Pancakes at the Koffmans we stopped and Taryn shot us in front of the sign.

this one's for kiKo...

This post goes out to our newest cousin, Kiko Takata Howard. Vincent and Kiko got married this past summer and live 10 minutes away from Kyrie and I. We hang out with them on some weekends and chill over there on Sundays. Kiko comes and visits our dorm room sometimes and we catch up on all our gossip :) Kiko cooks really good food, wears really fun earings, gives really wonderful gifts, carries bangin-stylish bags and knows how to make a small living space one of the most comfortable and charming spaces I've ever been in. I really love my new cousin and I'm glad she's here to stay.

AubrenSienna & KyrieAnnaRuth

Yesterday it was a beautiful day and Kyrie rocked the flip flops and summer attire to church. When we got home we wanted to go outside to take pictures for you to enjoy our lately, very neglected blog. But it just was't happening. I wanted to take a nap and Kyrie had to get to the art barn so we set the timer on our camera and jumped around the room a bit so we'd have something to show you. Sorry..I know they're sort of boring but until we upload more creative photos, these will have to do.

Like our new laundry bag?! I picked it up when I was grocery shopping with my dad on xmas break for only 99 cents! You're sapposed to use them for your groceries and it's a compleatly recycled bag and the money (the whole 99 cents:) goes to a recycled foundation. The other side is huge raindrops. I really love it!

We thought we'd show you one of our (many) differences in case you thought we didn't have any... Kyrie's flexible and I'm not! :)

back in the day...

This was at Grandma's house when it was a lot easier to take pictures of the family. My dad would say "Picture!!" and we were there. Now... well ...we're lucky if we get one good shot a year. It's a dramatic time... always memorable though.

...check out Brae's pants! and kyrie's baggy little tights or maybe that's socks over her tights!! oh man! my dad has cool converse on too :)

sam can dance.

This is Sam and his sister, Micah. My sisters and I babysit them sometimes. Brae watched Sam a couple weeks ago and decided to show him her slide show she made of her time spent teaching in China. The music she chose for her slide show is sung by Sigur Ros and was extremely moving. When I watch these videos of Sam, I think this is what we all wanted to do when we watched Brae's slide show but were inhibited by our "grown-upness"...
