we two like bot.

(bot is good. naturally good. no artificial flavoring, sweetners, or preservatives. low in sugar and vitamin fortified.)

Those are the words on the side of my water bottle that are coming out from a little speech bubble from that little red bot man. There's also an grape bot man and an orange bot man. Michael and I have decided that although grape bot's the cutest, orange bot definitely taste the best. I don't normally like flavored water but this stuff is amazing. There's something about it that's different then the rest of those flavored water disasters and whether it's the adorable little bot man on the front or not, I'm in love with it. I was walking through greenlife (organic) grocery store (me and michael's new favorite place to be) and i spotted these little bot characters on the shelf. I'm a sucker for advertising and this bottle had totally out done the rest on it's shelf so I bought it and drove back to school to show michael. He likes them too now and since that first little grape bot experience for me in greenlife he's gotten me berry bot and orange bot and they're are too cute to throw away. go try one! now. your whole disposition will perk up, if not for the taste (which surely it will), it will be from that little bot man.
I just can't get enough of him.

(note: you can refill bot 9 times and it taste like flavored bot every time! only 9 times though.)

he likes sushi too

me and eric both have this diehard love of sushi so we discovered a way to enjoy the goodness without suffering the major dent it puts in wallets. This is the third time we've put this whole thing together--with the beloved additon of avacados because they are back in season baby. The whole thing costs only about $10 once you have the rice and rice vinegar. and it's pretty quick to put together. especially if you have a working, fully functional kitchen. eric and me fumble around in my tiny little bathroom thawing the shrimp, use whatever plates we can find (rubber ducky ones this last time.), make our own strainers with pocket knives and plastic plates and cut up the ingredients with found butter knives or his swiss army knift.
anway, it all comes together quite well and tastes so good. and we make taco-style sushi using the seaweed squares as the taco. it's the same taste as the rolls with less time and no chopsticks (although i don't mind using them.)
this last time we tried to get some ginger and go for the real deal. we bought a little ginger root for 27 cents just to try it out. that root is so deceiving! it's really powerful stuff. if you ever try it, use shavings of it! we sort of just sliced it but it was way too painfully spicy. we had to throw it out. sad, i know.

how it should be done

, originally uploaded by braebrae.

how bout we all dress our children like this when they're young. no matching, no rules, just a patchwork of lovely things any way they want. i think it does so much for people to know they abide by no man-made rules when it comes to clothing. opens up so many more doors if petty restrictions can be decimated. (is that a word?)

my new look. (for mother boat and brae)

yesterday after all classes were said and done and the weekend was well on it's pretty little way, michael and I hopped in the death star (his car:) with Lett Eye Care as our destination. It may not seem like an exciting place to go on a friday evening but we've been looking forward to it for two weeks of something. I've had my glasses since middle school and they're still presh to me and I was fine with them but the prescription was beginning to get blurry and well, the style wasn't so up to date...

so we spent our rainy afternoon at the eye doctors leafing through versace and dolce and gabana eyeglasses (!) and a little umbrella/starbucks/java chip frap action afterward.

oh how i love fridays.
(oh and i cut my bangs to little boy length!)

butterfly bot

i was researching for a paper due in a couple days and kyrie just walked into our little carter room with a butterfly on her shoulder. she found him outside in the rain, fluttering around on the ground with a broken left wing. Chalice wasn't too enthused but kyrie and I have played with this little guy for the last hour and now he's resting on kyrie's dried roses sitting in the cloudy lit window cill. kyrie's convinced he will die in the next hour which makes me sad since i attach so quicky and we've already named him and taken 30 pictures. kyrie placed him on the flowers and said sweetly... "aww... he likes it there. he's found such a pretty place to die." why are butterflies so pretty and sweet and why do left wings have to break and butterflies have to die?

i named him bot.
