kyrie: hey im' not sure if your gonna know this but i have to do this art paper for english 101. i chose this piece called the "Great Wave"... was wondering if you knew how to pronounce the author's name: katsushika hokusai--.

papa: Kyrie i've have framed this print may times. I usually refer to him as Hokusai (HO ku sigh), But hi full name would sound like this: Katsushika(cot sue SHE cuh).

how does he know these things? i do not know. my papa knows all sorts of small, useful details like this which is oh-so-useful to children like me who need them.

got this flower at work tonight. it was valentines day so every plate had a flower like this on it. they're eatable too! i thought it was too pretty to eat so i put it in my hair.
