I SAW THIS SHOW! It was amazing - but the sad part was that they made such a huge BIG deal about the animal "fetus" and how special they should have a right to life, but we are killing them with our polution - on the flip side human babies are not as important and anytime we feel like it we have the right to an abortion - just as long as we are trying to stop polution and save the elephants. What a disgusting world we live in.
There's nothing wrong with fighting pollution or saving elephants. As Christians, we should concern ourselves with promoting all of life. Of course, humanity should be our priority, but this doesn't doesn't mean we should dismiss environmental/animal concerns. Really, it's all related.
It's disgusting how wasteful Christians in our culture tend to be.
these photos look so different from the pictures of embryonic development available in many science textbooks...but like bonny beth, I am curious how they took the photos. I guess I am still recovering from the not-really-Lowen's-dog photo shock...
Haha! When I wrote that comment I figured people would think I was a NON-enviromentalist. I totally agree with you Lowen - if you say you are a christian, then it's your duty to try to do all the good in the world you can. I only meant that most people get all emotional about the animals, polution, ect... and act as it these are worse evils then abortion.
Think of this. We can all probably think of a time when we saw a "Save the Whales" program BUT When was the last time you saw a show called "Save the Babies"?
I've noticed that whenever people bring up "saving the whales", christians subvert the concern and start talking about "saving the babies". I think it's annoying.
You say most people get all emotional about the animals and pullution. I beg to differ. Some people do. Most Christians don't. Most Christians, I find, are wasteful conservatives--and proud of it (which I find wickedly ironic).
ashley dear, please forgive lowen for his tone. but your gentle answer will, no doubt, turn away his wrath. he is very civil and much more mellow in person(usually).
i see we've moved our chatroom to this address for the time being. kate wound up with 32 comments. we even had a snippet from josiah. what strange visitations and twists will this thread reveal?

Lowen - JLW is ME! Ashley Wingo! I'm not a crazy! Sorry if I offended you. I shouldn't have commented so liberally on a blog that was not my own.
