trying to study with a headache (cause I didn't drink my coffee)
last night I went to a house lowen was "house-sitting" at to try and study... the house was perfect! So homey and wonderfully lit. but my head hurt too bad.. I had to go to bed at 9.

I love this house, so many books.
I also love the odd angles and perspectives you can get with self-portraits. Yours remind me.
I invariably look a bit drugged out in self-portraits: the eyes rolled upwards towards the camera I am holding outstretched above myself, the pupils dilated from the blinding flash, my jawline much more angular (straight on gives me a very round face). Funny, even though most of the time I rely on severe guesswork in order to snap the shot, the self-portraits are some of my favorite pictures of myself. Maybe the element of something turning out despite all the odds against it appeals to the American championship of the underdog in me.
